Nature park Blidinje - Hajdučka vrata
Description
Čvrsnica is one of the highest mountains in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is located in the northern part of Herzegovina with the highest peak 2228nm, as an part of Blidinje Nature Park. Hajdučka vrata, located at east part of mountain are natural phenomenon of indescribable beauty. Hajdučka vrata has for centuries created natural conditions in this place. In nature it is a ring of rocks through which winds pass, and are located on the edge of the canyon of Neretva river.

The area of Blidinje is a unique natural phenomenon, which contains many endemic species of plant and animal life with many sources of clean, drinking water. The name was obtained by Lake Blidinje, located in the bottom of the valley at an altitude of 1184 m. The most famous sights of the park along the lake are rich archaeological sites and a necropolis with 150 tombstones in Dugo Polje that gained the status of the National Monument of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
